30 Marathons in 35 Days

C4C at the finish line with Jason
Today marked the final day of Superman Jason Arday’s 30 marathons in 35 days fundraiser for Shelter and The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice.
Having set out on Monday 19th July, Jason has run the route of the London Marathon a whopping 30 times and will have raised about £8,000 for the two charities when all donations are totalled up!
A shooting star himself, we caught up with him at the finish line of his final run today to ask how it felt to have completed such a momentous challenge (excuse the shoddy camera work, I am no Spike Lee)…

Celebratory cake with little champagne bottles!

Friends and supporters came out to run the last leg of the last marathon
And if you couldn’t be at the finish line to congratulate the man, don’t worry because you can still give Jason a pat on the back by donating @ www.justgiving.com/jasonjogs30in35.

Marathon Man
Taken straight from the Eddie Izzard book of gruelling challenges for good causes, 24-year-old sports lecturer Jason Arday is attempting to run 30 marathons in 35 days!
He started running on the 19th July and is going to keep running for five hours, six days a week till the 22nd August – running the route of the London marathon 15 times!
It’s all to raise money for housing and homelessness charity Shelter and Shooting Star children’s charity so let’s all get behind him. He should be about six marathons down now and he’s aiming to raise £5,000 – help him reach his target by donating @ www.justgiving.com/jasonjogs30in35.
Also follow his progress on his blog @ www.30in35.wordpress.com. We suggest his running music for his next shift should be…
