American Pop Art Exhibition
Love 4 Culture loves free exhibitions, especially ones this cool. ‘Sold Out: American Pop Art from the 1970s to the 1980s,’ is an exhibition of works by Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Tom Wesselmann, Frank Stella and (our personal favourite) Keith Haring illustrating the evolution of Pop Art and the diversity of styles and techniques developed by its leading contributors.
Pop Art is all around us. You only need to look at Shepard Fairey’s “Hope print of Obama” to recognise the modern influence. I went to D.C. for the 44th Presidential inauguration and remember the amount of imitation posters, flyers and newspaper covers…
