Batman-Themed Nokia Lumia 900 Heading to UK

It’s on its way!

The Batman-themed Nokia Lumia 900 limited edition is heading to UK in the coming weeks.

Nokia released its Lumia 800 Dark Knight Rises back in December and now the company is set for “batphone” in Lumia 900 limited edition. It will be available at Phones4u in the UK “very shortly.” This means you have to act fast before it’s too late.

Joker wouldn’t mind using this gadget, I guess and as far as endurance is concerned, the tough cookie is unbreakable – constructed in a unibody polycarbonate shell; it can withstand drops, bangs and scrapes. The Bruce Wayne’s alter-ego is made up of Gorilla Glass from Corning. I give two thumbs up for this gadget!

It’s not a surprise; the unit is exclusively designed in Batman’s favorite color. Minimalists will love the sturdy and compact built. According to Pocketnow, the only difference, they know between the regular Lumia 900 and Batman edition is the “laser etched insignia.”

Nokia 900 Lumia is integrated with Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon chipset running with Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.

The AMOLED capacitive touchscreen in 16M colors lets you take snapshots at 8MP, 3264 x 2448 pixels in Carl Zeiss optics and of course, the video shots with stabilizations on 720p@30fps.

Nokia Lumia 900 comes in 16GB storage with 512 MB RAM. Although it doesn’t have any memory card slot, it can possibly have an edge to compete with other brands in terms of hardware.

The price is unknown, and other details aren’t quite available as of this writing. However, the limited edition is expected to go on sale in UK, Germany, France and other European countries.

Timing is set… probably it will coincide with the film’s release on July 20th.

What do you think? Is the limited edition worth it?

Vertu Constellation Quest Inspired by Ferrari 458 Italia

In this generation of technology, smartphones are considered necessities for work and business. Gone are the days when phones were treated as a luxury. The mobile companies leveraged in this opportunity and introduced different sizes, features and brands of smartphones.

Apple, Samsung, Blackberry, Nokia, you name it, pack their operating systems with all the little things we think we need to get through the day and all the other bits we don’t, but want anyway. Some brands focus on performance rather than aesthetic features. Some consider both. However, with Vertu, the luxury smartphone maker, it’s a different ball game.

Known for its super luxurious, ultra-premium styling Vertu leads the way if we’re talking about diamonds and blings on your smartphones. The brand is a favourite among the big spenders who like to show it. The phone for the Bentley and Ferrari drivers of this world.

So it was only natural the company got round to collaborating with Ferrari on a smartphone… one that’s naturally more expensive than the new iPhone and surprisingly better… I give you the world-rocking Vertu Constellation Quest Ferrari…

Inspired by the Ferrari 458, this luxurious smartphone has everything you need. In partnership with Ferrari, the device was originally a Blackberry smartphone which was redesigned with polished stainless steel and embedded in a titanium cover so dropping it won’t be your biggest worry.

The Constellation Quest Ferrari is coated by the same stuff that is used to coat Ferrari engines. Yes! It’s made up of your favorite car’s engine. Its unique coating is incredibly resilient and it is on every inch of the handset that is exposed to scratches. Even more amazing is that the coating is as thin as 1/50 of a human hair, and ten times harder than steel!

The handmade leather is handcrafted in the very same place where Ferrari GT cars are produced. The keypad is sapphire crystal. Yes that’s sapphire crystal, and it takes two weeks to make one keypad! Each individual key can take up to 25 hours to make!

The Constellation Quest Ferrari features a Ferrari logo on the back of the case. Well-crafted with full QWERTY keypad, it is also loaded with 2.46-inch screen and five mega-pixels camera. The ring tones come with the set, and so does a bespoke leather case emblazoned with the Ferrari logo. Now the price is yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to retail for more than $8400 (£5300), which is the asking price of the standard Constellation Quest. Those 25 hours a key add up on the old cost sheet!

Would you ever spend that much on a phone? Even if it looked like so and was practically a Ferrari without the wheels??
