If you want to stand out among the crowd and enjoy the extravagant lifestyle of owning a golden tablet, this will totally rock your world and your pocket. The auction of iPad 2 was impressively successful last year. Now here comes the iPad 3.

UK-based manufacturer, Gold & Co. London unveiled the priceless 24-carat pure gold iPad 3 at a special event in United Arab Emirates.

What’s more, after the international unveiling, the Damas jewelers store in Dubai Mall started accepting orders. Proceeds of the first unit auctioned will be donated to charity.

Obviously, the shiny shimmering golden iPad 3 will be on the hands of the extremely wealthy gentlemen. Buying this gold iPad 3 is a status symbol, a luxury at its best.

Probably, you’re wondering how much does it cost– well… it’s tagged with a stunning price of £3,453 ($5,499) for the 64 GB 4G model. Considering there are only 250 units of these 24-ct gold iPads – rarely will you find such items, classified as limited edition.

This golden iPad 3 is a dream for me. Unless one of those wealthy gents accidentally bumps his head, diagnosed with amnesia and cares to give his unit for free.

What do you think about the 24-carat-pure gold iPad 3?

LG bendy plastic e-reader display coming in May

If you can fold your magazine and newspaper after reading some tidbits on the latest news and updates, why not fold your e-reader too? That would be impossible since most of the e-readers available are made up of glass.

But not this one! I’m so excited to share this upcoming gadget from LG. This bendy plastic e-reader will be released next month. LG Display made it again with a punch against other competitors with this new gadget. I guess this will be the future of e-readers in the coming months. Unlike the tablet PCs and laptops – obviously they can’t be folded. The future of bendy-gadgets is close to customers.

The screen is made up of EPD (electronic paper display). It supports 1024×728 resolution with a display of 6 inches. Reading on this e-reader will never be the same again. According to TechSoft.org, “LG claims that the screen provides users a paper like reading experience with plastic substrate.”

The plastic e-reader is sleek, similar to a mobile screen protector film with a thickness of 0.7 mm. It’s flexible, and it can be folded in 40 degrees angle from the center of the screen, 1/3 sleeker as compared to a traditional e-reader screen you have seen.

Considering the materials used, plastic displays are cheaper than glass displays. What’s more, you don’t have to worry about dropping it.

LG attempted several drop-offs to test the waters. From nearly five-feet off the ground, they found out that these plastic displays are durable and more resistant to damages than the glass. LG also tried a break test by hitting the display with a small urethane hammer and there was no ill effect.

LG’s new screens are off to ODM companies in China. With the finished products, they will be available in Europe this early May.

Are you going to get yourself this cool bendy plastic e-reader? Tell us what you think.

Vizio All-in-One PC and laptops coming this spring

We’ve seen many PC’s laptops and tablet in the market with loads of software packages and specifications.

It’s obvious that the competition is quite unbelievable because each brand wants to get a share of the pie. However, is it all about the products and profits? How about innovation and aesthetics?

I recently read a post from CNBC, and it featured the Top 10 Coolest Gadgets at CES 2012. I’ve mentioned in my previous post one of the featured gadgets like the Invoxia AudiOffice Speaker Dock. And today, my eyes were all glued to this brand called Vizio.

The company is known for their premier HDTVs and I’m really impressed by the quality and design of the products. The aesthetics are foremost with a touch of minimalism. Recently, Vizio jumped in PC bandwagon. Apparently, they threw their nets to the other side of the boat by entering the PC market.

They unveiled their plans on two all-in-one desktop PCs and three notebooks in the CES 2012 event. Vizio is keeping it low in terms of the specifications and price. We can actually see that they promised a ‘thin + light’ model, especially on the Vizio Notebook. All packages are destined to arrive this spring. Vizio’s slogan, “Inspired by joy. Designed to perform” the company is focusing on aesthetics and experience.

The company promises affordable prices on their forefront products. Super-sleek premium, thin and light, this is a preference for minimalists and for those who enjoy the ranks of hot ultra slim notebooks running in Windows operating system.

It’s admirable to see a company combine experience and entertainment in desktop PCs and laptops. I’m also tempted to get myself an All-in-one-PC when it hit the stores.

The desktop is perfect in your home and office. You’ll save a good amount of computer space with these kinds of aesthetics.

All the products – desktop PCs and laptops are part of the company’s Entertainment EcoSystem. You can start watching in one device and continue on another one. The interconnectivity of the devices, premier design and affordable prices would surely make them promising lineup in the coming months.

Invoxia AudiOffice Speaker Dock for iDevices

A fancy experience with Invoxia AudiOffice as your office speaker phone will blow your mind.

For Apple users, check out this innovative speaker dock perfect for office and home.

I thought it was a car in the office, but it has nothing to do with Audi. I recently checked out the coolest gadgets unveiled in CES 2012, and I found this gem on their list of Elegant Gadgets Abound featured in Information Week.

I thought this was just another fancy fax machine in all its sleek aesthetics and glorious design. However, it’s not a fax machine. It’s not even a printer.

It’s crazy to have a desk phone twist in your office table with tons of paper works and appointments. However, this is not just an ordinary desk phone. This speaker dock VoIP works with premier iDevices such as iPhone and iPad.

What’s in the box? Well, it’s fully optimized with VoIP and video call apps perfect for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The whole package is attractive. Businessmen, professionals and entrepreneurs can use AudiOffice in their companies.

Roll calls, sounds and videos. The gadget’s main purpose is simply to boost the quality of audio when you’re making a VoIP and regular cell phone calls.

The AudiOffice is not limited to iOS devices. Two USB ports are cranked up behind the gadget. Thanks to wireless technology, you can connect a non-iOS device using built-in Bluetooth Radio.

The sound quality is credited to Vivo Acoustic Technology. 8 broadband speakers, and 8 digital microphones are inside the hood. You can connect your PC, laptop using the USB port and audio jack for soothing and relaxing sounds in the comfort of your home or office. You can push that big grey button to turn the speaker on when there’s an ongoing call.

The thrill with Skype using the video call apps gives you another dimension when talking to the other party. Basically, the gadget is simply made to be a speaker and dock for iOS devices. Nothing more, nothing less. The big catch? The AudiOffice is tagged at $299 (227 EUR).

The AudiOffice is featured Engadget. They made a hands-on review of the AudiOffice. They traveled all the way to the Mobile World Congress last February to get a dose of pros and cons of this innovative speaker dock.

As for me, I like to have one in my office too.

And you? Tell me what you think about this gadget? Practically speaking, would you spend your money for this?

We Stopped Dreaming

Neil deGrasse Tyson breaks down the importance of advancing the space frontier. You can think about him as the Carl Sagan of the 21st century or the US version of Bryan Cox bringing science to the masses.  How many of us ever think about space travel? If the Cold War hadn’t ended, we might have been flying regularly to Mars by now. Watching this video felt like day dreaming.

Vertu Constellation Quest Inspired by Ferrari 458 Italia

In this generation of technology, smartphones are considered necessities for work and business. Gone are the days when phones were treated as a luxury. The mobile companies leveraged in this opportunity and introduced different sizes, features and brands of smartphones.

Apple, Samsung, Blackberry, Nokia, you name it, pack their operating systems with all the little things we think we need to get through the day and all the other bits we don’t, but want anyway. Some brands focus on performance rather than aesthetic features. Some consider both. However, with Vertu, the luxury smartphone maker, it’s a different ball game.

Known for its super luxurious, ultra-premium styling Vertu leads the way if we’re talking about diamonds and blings on your smartphones. The brand is a favourite among the big spenders who like to show it. The phone for the Bentley and Ferrari drivers of this world.

So it was only natural the company got round to collaborating with Ferrari on a smartphone… one that’s naturally more expensive than the new iPhone and surprisingly better… I give you the world-rocking Vertu Constellation Quest Ferrari…

Inspired by the Ferrari 458, this luxurious smartphone has everything you need. In partnership with Ferrari, the device was originally a Blackberry smartphone which was redesigned with polished stainless steel and embedded in a titanium cover so dropping it won’t be your biggest worry.

The Constellation Quest Ferrari is coated by the same stuff that is used to coat Ferrari engines. Yes! It’s made up of your favorite car’s engine. Its unique coating is incredibly resilient and it is on every inch of the handset that is exposed to scratches. Even more amazing is that the coating is as thin as 1/50 of a human hair, and ten times harder than steel!

The handmade leather is handcrafted in the very same place where Ferrari GT cars are produced. The keypad is sapphire crystal. Yes that’s sapphire crystal, and it takes two weeks to make one keypad! Each individual key can take up to 25 hours to make!

The Constellation Quest Ferrari features a Ferrari logo on the back of the case. Well-crafted with full QWERTY keypad, it is also loaded with 2.46-inch screen and five mega-pixels camera. The ring tones come with the set, and so does a bespoke leather case emblazoned with the Ferrari logo. Now the price is yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to retail for more than $8400 (£5300), which is the asking price of the standard Constellation Quest. Those 25 hours a key add up on the old cost sheet!

Would you ever spend that much on a phone? Even if it looked like so and was practically a Ferrari without the wheels??

The New iPad Unveiled

It’s here! It’s finally unveiled, and this is not the iPad 3or iPad HD. Its official name is, “the new iPad.” Yes, you got that right. I’m not kidding. So, if this third generation of iPad’s moniker is “the new iPad,” is it possible that iPhone 5 will be called “the new iPhone?” Well, I can’t tell you that. However, this new gadget is rich retina display with quad-core graphics and ultrafast 4G, perfect for your browsing experience, photo and video streams and more. “The new iPad” is glowing with reviews and feedbacks since its launch on 7th March.

Apple has finally unleashed their third gen iPad with enhancements of the previous model. Apple has revolutionized the tablet experience, and it has set high standards on hardware specs. However, this time, it’s not just about the revolution. “The new iPad” is about the resolution. Apple beat it with “resolutionize” gadget that will change your tablet experience from browsing through the web, photo streams, movies and games. The new iPad is a stunner when it comes to graphics (2048 x 1536 pixels with 1.3 million more pixels), live and razor-sharp graphics, you will never be able to use a non-retina display again once you taste its glorious display.

In addition to the upgraded high-screen resolution, “the new iPad” carries:

A dual-core processor A5X chip set which is twice faster than the A5 chip found in the iPad 2. Apple always surprises us with what’s inside the hood.

For those fun shoots, make way for this 5MP sensor with a rear iSight camera which is packed with state of the art optics, auto focus, face detection and white balance.

Enjoy long HD video recording with 1080 resolution that you can even make your own movie, with spectacular and rich graphics.

Are you thinking about Siri? Well, although it’s not included in the hood, Apple integrated voice dictation. It’s accessible via a dedicated button on the virtual keyboard. You can command your iPad to type and send text message, search the web and write notes for you. It works well with third party apps, which allows users to update status and tweets just by dictating.

3G is outdated for “the new iPad,” here comes a new elevated network experience using 4G LTE. It supports HSPA + for up to 21 Mpbs, for dual carrier HSDPA for 42 mbps, or LTE for a maximum of 72 Mbps connectivity. Connect like never before using the 4G LTE.

The battery life lasts 10 hours, and for +4G models about 9 hours.

Lightweight and slim, weighing only 1.5 pound with 9.44 mm-thin. You can grab yours, starting at $499 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi model. “The new iPad” is available in black and white.
