The World In One City

In 2005 London won the right to host the 2012 Olympic Games on a ticket of multiculturalism and London-based photographer Philippe Sibelly tasked himself with exploring that diversity by photographing people from every county in the world residing, working, visiting our dear city.

Deciding to stick to the Olympic list of nations, Philippe snapped 202 people from different countries with a Polaroid camera and asked each person photographed to hold the image of the previous Londoner snapped so as to create a continuous chain.

The resulting piece is an addictive yearbook-type album for Londoners and is awesome! Check it out for yourself at theworldinonecity.net or click pictures to view the full project.
